WordPress “screen options” is a hidden gem on the WordPress dashboard. In addition to clearly visible settings on the WordPress dashboard, the “Screen Options” provide plethora of other settings.
Recently I came across a support request on WordPress.org where a user was confused why is he seeing the “Edit | Quick Edit | Trash | Preview” links by default without even hovering on the list items. He thought that this was the issue due to some recent update.
That view was rather a result of “Extended view” setting under “Screen Options”. Surprising isn’t it. Almost WordPress screens in the WordPres dashboard have this “Screen Option” menu sitting on the top right. Next time, don’t forget to explore more and get into the hidden treasure of WordPress “Screen Options”.
